Almabtrieb ist in den Alpen eine beliebte Tradition und willkommener Anlass zum Feiern.
Die
Seiser Alm feiert den Almabtrieb traditionell am Rosari-Samstag, dem Samstag vor Erntedank. Mit Blumen und Glockengeläut geschmückte Rinder bevölkern die Straßen bei Compatsch und die bunte Herde aus Tieren, Plunderfuhrwerken und Hirten zieht von Compatsch bis Telfen bzw. bis nach Kastelruth.

Doch bevor die rund 200 Rinder, Schafe, Ziegen und Pferde von der Seiser Alm zurück ins Tal ziehen, steht der
Almabtrieb von der Tuff Alm am 30. September auf dem Programm. Die ca. 120 Rinder ziehen um die Mittagszeit in Völs ein, wo die
Viehsegnung stattfindet.
